In the last 13 weeks, the fellows of the 2022 Click-On Kaduna Data Science Fellowship Programme have been involved in intensive and practical data science training at the state-of-the-art Amina J. Mohammed SDG’s Data Lab. Tomorrow will mark their last day in class after 3 months of hard work and dedication. The Fellows will immediately embark on 3 months of fieldwork at various MDAs in Kaduna State.
Back in June, 40 young people were selected to participate in the fellowship programme. The programme is a key component of Kaduna State’s Data Revolution Plan aimed at strengthening the coordination in the collection and use of data for evidence-based decision-making. This year’s programme received over 5,000 applications. 250 were selected by the selection committee to participate in the Computer Based Test phase of the application process. 126 applicants who passed the average performance score were invited for one-on-one interview sessions with a panel of judges. NFTI, as the programme implementation partner has worked very hard to improve on last year’s cohort, and we have delivered on our promise to give this year’s cohort a remarkable 3-month training experience.
Our fellows are on track to becoming world-class data scientists and we can’t wait to see their impact on the field in the coming months. Follow us across our social media platforms to learn more about the programme.
