The 2024/2025 cohort of the Click-On Kaduna Data Science Fellowship Programme (DSFP 4.0) has officially concluded, marking yet another milestone in our commitment to fostering data-driven innovation and empowering youths with world-class skills.
Over the past seven months, 40 fellows have undergone intensive training, specializing in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, GIS, and Data Engineering. Through a hands-on approach, they have developed innovative solutions to real-world challenges, demonstrating the transformative power of data science in governance.
The program implementation partners, the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics (KDBS) and the Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation (NFTI) expressed pride in the fellows’ achievements, particularly highlighting their contributions to life-changing projects that will have a long-lasting impact on the citizens of Kaduna State.
This year’s cohort is also notable as the first to experience the specialized track system, allowing fellows to gain deeper expertise in key areas of data science. Their work has set a new benchmark for future cohorts and strengthened the program’s role in advancing Kaduna State’s data ecosystem.
As the fellows transition into the next phase of their careers, they join a growing network of DSFP alumni thriving not only in Nigeria but across the world, leveraging their skills to drive change in various sectors.
The Kaduna State Government and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have been instrumental in sustaining this initiative, reinforcing their commitment to building a data-literate workforce that can tackle pressing societal challenges with evidence-based solutions.
With DSFP 4.0 now successfully concluded, attention turns to future cohorts and the continuous evolution of the program to meet the ever-growing demand for data science expertise in Africa.
