The 2025/2026 Click-On Kaduna Data Science Fellowship Programme (DSFP 5.0) has entered its final and most decisive stage, the interviews. Following a competitive application process that began in June with over 5,430 applicants, only the most outstanding candidates have made it to this crucial phase.

The interviews will determine the final 40 fellows who will join the 2025/2026 cohort at the Amina J. Mohammed SDGs Data Lab, and they are scheduled from Tuesday, August 26th to Friday, August 29th, 2025.

The DSFP 5.0 selection journey has been rigorous and transparent. Applicants first submitted essays and biodata forms before advancing to a video submission stage. Successful candidates then sat for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) at Kaduna State University, where they were assessed in Quantitative Reasoning & Logic, Data Processing & Programming, and Health & SDGs.

The average scores from the CBT stood at 55 for male candidates and 53 for female candidates. Only applicants who scored above the average threshold advanced to the interviews, underscoring the programme’s commitment to merit and fairness.

According to the DSFP Selection Committee, the interview phase is designed not only to evaluate technical competence but also to gauge candidates’ motivation, communication skills, and readiness to work on real-life projects within Kaduna State.

The final shortlist of 40 fellows will be announced on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025. Induction and orientation activities will follow from September 15th to 19th, with classes commencing on October 6th, 2025.

Now in its fifth edition, DSFP has already trained over 150 young professionals, many of whom are working as data analysts, project managers, researchers, and international ambassadors for data-driven development. DSFP 5.0 promises to continue this legacy by nurturing another generation of data leaders committed to evidence-based governance and social impact.
