The Kaduna State Primary Healthcare Board (SPHCB), in partnership with the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics (KDBS) and the Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation (NFTI), recently convened a meeting to discuss the reclassification of public primary health facilities and the development of a uniform platform for updating health facility information in the state.

The primary aim of this initiative is to ensure accurate classification and up-to-date information about health facilities across Kaduna State. To achieve this goal, NFTI and its partners have been diligently reviewing multiple facility listings, including data from the Health Facility Analytics (HEFA), Human Resource for Health Management Information System (HRHMIS), Integrated Supportive Supervision (ISS), District Health Information System (DHIS2), and the State 2024 REW Microplan.

Through collaborative efforts with the state primary healthcare board and KDBS, NFTI is spearheading the development of a harmonized platform for tracking primary health facility status. This platform will provide stakeholders with real-time insights into the healthcare landscape, empower evidence-based decision-making, and enhance citizen services.

Reclassifying all public primary facilities will help establish a more refined classification system that aligns with the state’s classification standard, enhancing data accuracy, accessibility, and transparency in primary healthcare facility management.
