It was truly a great pleasure to welcome the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation team, led by Dr. Charity Chenge, to the Amina J Mohammed SDGs Data Lab. The team from the country office was taken on a tour of the Data Lab and they were extremely impressed with the level of progress achieved by the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics and NFTI in the last couple of years.
Dr. Charity expressed her excitement at the Bureau’s progress in the last couple of years and reassured the Statistician General of the KDBS, and NFTI of the BMGF’s commitment to helping Kaduna state achieve its Data Revolution plan. Also present at the meeting was the Kaduna State representative of UNICEF, Dr. Idris Baba.
The Foundation appreciates the BMGF for their unrelenting support for the Data Lab Project. We will continue to work hard to use data to impact social and sustainability initiatives across Kaduna State and beyond.
