The Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation (NFTI) participated in a three-day Health Care Facility (HCF) Data Validation Workshop organized by the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics (KDBS) in collaboration with Mindset, as part of the ongoing Kaduna Health Facility Census (HCF Census).

The Kaduna Health Facility Census is a significant initiative aimed at mapping and providing up-to-date information on all operational clinical health facilities across Kaduna State. This comprehensive exercise is designed to strengthen the health information system by establishing a reliable, accurate, and easily accessible database of health facilities. Such data serves as a foundational tool for improving healthcare delivery, resource allocation, and long-term policy planning.

The objective of the workshop was to collaboratively review and validate the preliminary analytical findings from the census to ensure that the outcomes are accurate, consistent, and policy-relevant. Over the course of three days, participants engaged in in-depth discussions, cross-verification exercises, and technical reviews to refine the data collected from various sources.

As a technical partner, NFTI provided strategic support throughout the validation exercise and will continue to play a pivotal role in the subsequent phases, which include data cleaning, analysis, and visualization. These next steps are critical for transforming raw datasets into insightful, user-friendly dashboards and reports that enable evidence-based decision-making at the state and institutional levels.

The workshop brought together stakeholders from government agencies, development partners, and technical organizations, all united by a shared commitment to promoting data-driven governance in the health sector. Their collective effort reflects Kaduna State’s growing emphasis on using data as a foundation for efficient planning, accountability, and performance monitoring.

NFTI remains committed to advancing digital health ecosystems by providing technical expertise, innovative tools, and capacity-building support that enable governments and partners to harness the full potential of data for social good.
