The Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation participated in the Kaduna 2025 Health Facility Census Dissemination Workshop, an event convened by the Kaduna State Ministry of Health and the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics and Mindset  to present, discuss, and interpret findings from the recently concluded census. The objective of the workshop was to share key insights from the 2025 Kaduna Health Facility Census, highlight implications for system improvement, and promote data-driven decision-making across the state’s health sector. This effort aligns with the state’s commitment to strengthening its health information system through accurate, timely, and actionable data.

The event opened with remarks from the Honourable Commissioner for Health, who underscored the vital role that comprehensive and validated health facility data plays in shaping policy direction, improving service delivery, and ensuring equitable access to care across Kaduna State.

Following the opening session, participants were taken through a series of technical presentations. These included the presentation of preliminary census findings, offering an updated view of the availability, distribution, and operational status of health facilities statewide. A geospatial interactive map was also showcased, giving stakeholders a visual representation of facility characteristics, service locations, and areas that require targeted intervention.

As a technical partner supporting the state’s digital health initiatives, Natview played a central role in enhancing the analytical value of the census data. Natview redesigned and updated the Health Facility Analytics (HEFA) dashboard, comparing the 2025 health facility census with the 2018 assessment to highlight patterns of change and areas that need strategic attention. The redesigned dashboard enables decision-makers to better understand how the health facility landscape has evolved over time, where progress has been recorded, and where further investment is required. It equips policymakers with the clarity and insight needed to anticipate future needs and prepare effectively for the changes ahead.

During the workshop, Natview presented the updated HEFA dashboard, demonstrating how the visualization transforms raw census data into accessible, meaningful insights for planning, monitoring, and system-wide assessment. The dashboard provides an interactive platform that allows users to explore facility status, service availability, reporting trends, and other essential indicators. By illustrating shifts observed between 2018 and 2025, the tool supports evidence-based decision-making and contributes to a more transparent, responsive, and accountable health planning environment.

Stakeholders welcomed the dashboard presentation as a significant advancement in strengthening the state’s health information architecture. Many emphasized the importance of embedding such tools into routine planning processes to ensure that health policies and interventions are consistently grounded in reliable data.

Through its contribution to the dissemination workshop, Natview reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Kaduna State in building a robust digital health ecosystem. By providing technical expertise, advanced visualization tools, and data-driven insights, Natview continues to advance the use of technology for social good and to strengthen evidence-based governance across the health sector
