The Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation began a two-Day M&E and Minimum Data Requirement Training Sessions for the Senior Level Officers of the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics. With the goal of effectively sustaining the numerous gains of the Gates Foundation-funded Data Lab Project, NFTI designed these capacity-building sessions to develop the skills and knowledge of the senior-level officers of the bureau on the rudiments and requirements of M&E and the understanding of individual KDBS departmental functions in tracking state-level results.
Participants were given an overview of M&E systems and were also introduced to the logical framework approach and result-based monitoring & evaluation system, indicators, data demand, data quality, and strategic decisions.
They were also taken through the Kaduna State Development Plan & the role of KDBS in tracking and reporting results. Participants were grouped to work in various sectors to identify and map the minimum data requirements for the 2021-2025 SDP implementation.
