The NFTI team paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Kano, Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero, to thank him for his support towards the successful launch in Kano. The Emir was very pleased with NFTI for the laudable project executed by the foundation at Warawa, Kano State, and he assured the team of the Emirate Council’s support and partnership in our multidimensional approach to ensuring poverty reduction and improving the standard of living for people in Kano State.
The NFTI team also made a visit to Sarki Yakin Kano, Madakin Gaya, Alh. Wada Mohammad Aliyu to seal our partnership and MoU with the Kano State Emirates Council Committee on Health on our support to the state. Madakin Gaya emphasized that the traditional structure in the state is well rooted and has the capacity to effect change. According to him, “to sustain developmental goals, you need to work closely with the traditional and religious institutions.”
He added that “Young people are the future and we won’t leave you behind. We will guide and support the young generation to reach their highest potential. Keep up the good work, sustain the momentum and continue to be good agents of the nation.”
