The Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation (NFTI) has successfully cascaded the Health Facility Analytics (HEFA) Registry Platform training to Zone 1 and Zone 2 health stakeholders in Kaduna State as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen health facility data management and institutionalize the use of the platform across the state’s health sector.
The cascade training commenced in Zaria, where Zone 2 health stakeholders participated in a two-day session on Friday and Saturday, before continuing in Kaduna on Monday for Zone 1 stakeholders. The engagements brought together Zonal Coordinators, Health Secretaries, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officers, Health Management Information System (HMIS) Officers, and other key health stakeholders responsible for health facility data management and reporting across the two zones.

During the sessions, participants were introduced to the HEFA Registry Platform and its role in strengthening the management of health facility information through a standardized and centralized facility registry. Facilitators demonstrated how the platform addresses fragmented facility records by providing a single authoritative directory aligned with national standards, enabling stakeholders to access accurate and up-to-date health facility information.
A key highlight of both trainings was the live demonstration of the HEFA dashboard, where participants were guided through the platform’s workflow, features, and functionality. Stakeholders were given the opportunity to log into the platform, explore its interface, navigate the dashboard, and gain practical experience using the system. The interactive demonstrations encouraged participants to ask questions, seek clarification, and better understand the practical application of the platform within their respective Local Government Areas.
Participants also learned how the HEFA Registry Platform supports real-time access to health facility data, reducing dependence on periodic facility censuses for planning and decision-making. Through monthly updates of key indicators, including functionality and security status, the platform enables health managers and policymakers to make timely, evidence-based decisions for improved resource allocation and service delivery.
The trainings reinforced the importance of maintaining accurate, standardized, and up-to-date health facility records to support stronger health information systems and improve coordination across Kaduna State’s health sector.
The successful completion of the Zone 1 and Zone 2 cascade trainings marks another milestone in the rollout of the HEFA Registry Platform across Kaduna State. By building the capacity of health stakeholders at the zonal level, NFTI continues to support the institutionalization of sustainable health facility data management and the use of real-time data for evidence-based planning and decision-making.
