The Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation (NFTI) has successfully cascaded the Health Facility Analytics (HEFA) Registry Platform training to Zone 3 health stakeholders in Kaduna State as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen health facility data management and institutionalize the use of the platform across the state.

The training, held in Kafanchan, brought together State Zonal Coordinators, Health Secretaries, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officers, Health Management Information System (HMIS) Officers, and other key health stakeholders responsible for health facility data management and reporting within the zone.

The session introduced participants to the HEFA Registry Platform and demonstrated how it supports the management of standardized and up-to-date health facility information. Through a live demonstration of the dashboard, participants were guided through the platform’s features, workflow, and functionality, gaining practical experience on how to access, navigate, and use the system.

The HEFA Registry Platform was developed to address fragmented health facility records by providing a single, authoritative directory of health facilities. The platform enables users to access real-time facility data, allowing health managers and policymakers to make informed decisions without waiting for periodic facility censuses. Through monthly updates, stakeholders can monitor key facility indicators, including functionality and security status, ensuring that planning and resource allocation are based on current information.

The interactive training provided participants with the opportunity to log into the platform, explore its features, ask questions, and receive practical guidance on its application within their respective Local Government Areas. Discussions also reinforced the importance of maintaining accurate and timely facility data to support evidence-based planning and improve coordination across the health system.

The cascade training marks another milestone in Kaduna State’s efforts to institutionalize the HEFA Registry Platform and strengthen the capacity of health personnel responsible for managing facility information. By equipping zonal and local-level stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to effectively use the platform, NFTI continues to support Kaduna State in building a more integrated, transparent, and data-driven health system.
