The Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics (KDBS), with support from the Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation(NFTI), successfully conducted sensitization sessions on the adoption and use of the Health Facility Analytics (HEFA) platform for key health institutions in Kaduna State.

The sensitization sessions were held for the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board on 19th May 2026, and for the Kaduna State Ministry of Health alongside the Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Agency on 20th May 2026.

The sessions focused on strengthening institutional capacity for evidence-based planning and performance monitoring through the practical use of the HEFA platform. Participants were introduced to platform navigation, data interpretation, health analytics, triangulation of health data, and the application of insights for strategic planning and decision-making within the health sector.

Through hands-on exercises and practical case studies, participants explored methods for identifying gaps in infrastructure, workforce distribution, service availability, and resource allocation across Local Government Areas in Kaduna State. The sessions also emphasized the importance of data-driven governance in improving healthcare planning, coordination, and service delivery.

The engagement further demonstrated Kaduna State’s commitment to institutionalizing evidence-based decision-making and strengthening the use of data systems to support sustainable health outcomes across the state.

The sensitization also reinforced the strategic role of KDBS in coordinating, sustaining, and promoting the use of HEFA analytics across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, positioning the Bureau as a key driver of integrated data systems and performance monitoring in Kaduna State’s health sector.
